ASML has been recognized as one of 18 companies receiving Intel Corporation’s Preferred Quality Supplier (PQS) award for their performance in 2013. ASML has demonstrated industry-leading commitment across all critical focus areas on which they are measured: quality, cost, availability, technology, customer service, labor and ethics systems, and environmental sustainability. ASML is recognized for its significant contributions providing Intel with semiconductor lithography equipment, deemed essential to Intel’s success.
“We are honored to be selected by Intel for a Preferred Quality Supplier award for 2013,” said Sunny Stalnaker, executive vice president, Sales & Customer Management, ASML. “This marks our fifth consecutive Intel PQS award, reflecting ASML’s commitment to provide both today’s leading-edge technology and tomorrow’s innovations. We view the PQS award as a testament to the level of partnership we have with Intel, which enables mutually beneficial collaboration to successfully implement advanced technologies.”
“Intel is pleased to present ASML with a 2013 Preferred Quality Supplier Award,” said Janice Golda, director of Intel’s Patterning Capital Equipment Development group. “This award is in recognition of ASML’s technical excellence, support for advanced lithography development, and improvements in cost of ownership and productivity. We look forward to continuing our collaboration to drive the innovation required to address Moore’s Law challenges.”
The PQS award is part of Intel’s Supplier Continuous Quality Improvement (SCQI) program that encourages suppliers to strive for excellence and continuous improvement. To qualify for PQS status, suppliers must score 80% on a report card that assesses performance and ability to meet cost, quality, availability, technology, environmental, social and governance goals. Suppliers must also achieve 80% or greater on a challenging improvement plan and demonstrate solid quality and business systems. Additional information about the SCQI program is available at www.intel.com/go/quality.
A celebration to honor PQS award winners was held in Santa Clara, California, themed 'Deliver the Present and Create the Future', which illustrates the contributions this supplier has made in 2013. In addition, there was an announcement on Intel’s website at www.intel.com.
