Role and responsibilities
Engineer and implement hardware and/or software solutions for complex part or module failures and other system issues in the China install base.
Collaborate with local part supply centers (LPSC), strategic sourcing & procurement (SS&P), and Customer Support sectors.
Interface with other ASML development and D&E Field teams to exchange knowledge and solutions.
Provide 4th line support to regional technical teams.
Contribute to building trust between ASML and our customers.
Education and experience
Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in one of the following competences:

Mechanical Engineering
Mechatronics, Robotics, Systems and Control

For working in the different ASML competence domains, you will need at least robust skills in one of the areas below.
Electronics
Strong knowledge in electronics domain like mains, safety, power, high voltage and EMC.
Knowledge of system wide interconnectivity like cables, dynamic links, cabinets and feedthroughs.
Knowledge of (complex) printed circuit boards (PCB), embedded logic (FPGA and uC) and PLC.
Understanding of hardware - software interfaces including motion control and computer systems architecture, data handling and communication links (CARM).
Compliance to international standards.
Light Sources
Broad optical, sensor and laser knowledge including opto-mechanics, geometrical optics, interferometry, laser modules, fiber optics and electro-mechanics.
Proficient in data analysis tools such a MATLAB / Python.
Understanding of optical materials, coatings, and precision measurement.
Mechanics
Create concepts, designs, 3D CAD models and mechanical drawings, Siemens NX (preferred).
Understand state of the art design methods and construction principles.
Experience in evaluating FEM / mechanical analysis results.
Mechatronics
Experienced in MATLAB/SIMULINK, LabView and preferably Linux / Python.
Multi-disciplinary affinity
Model, analyze and troubleshoot functionality of multi-disciplinary parts and modules.
