Job Purpose
The MEP Project Manager is responsible for managing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) activities for large-scale construction and facility development projects.
This role ensures effective coordination across design, construction, commissioning, and stakeholder interfaces to deliver safe, compliant, and high-quality facilities.
Key Responsibilities
MEP Project Management
- Lead and coordinate MEP-related activities across design, construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Act as the primary coordination point between internal teams, contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
Schedule, Risk & Change Control
- Support development and execution of MEP schedules aligned with project milestones.
- Proactively identify and manage technical, schedule, and interface risks.
- Coordinate technical clarifications and change management to minimize impact on cost and schedule.
Design & Construction Coordination
- Review MEP designs and shop drawings to ensure constructability, compliance with regulations, and project requirements.
- Manage interfaces between MEP systems, building works, and utility connections.
- Support construction execution through timely technical alignment and issue resolution.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Coordinate MEP system testing, commissioning, and readiness for handover.
- Support completion of required documentation for authorities, compliance, and operational readiness.
Stakeholder Communication
- Provide structured updates on MEP progress, risks, and key issues.
- Support effective collaboration across multidisciplinary project teams.
