Introduction to the job

As a Rewards Specialist, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of competitive and transparent compensation and benefits programs, ensuring alignment with both global frameworks and local market practices.

Role and responsibilities

  • Develop and design compensation and benefits programs aligned with ASML’s global rewards strategy and local market needs in Japan

  • Conduct market research and benchmarking analysis to support data-driven decision-making and enhance competitiveness

  • Support annual compensation review cycles, including salary review, variable pay, and equity-based programs

  • Participate in global and local rewards projects, driving process improvements and policy enhancements

  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners and stakeholders on rewards practices, policies, and governance

  • Develop and maintain rewards policies, guidelines, and communication materials to ensure clarity and transparency

  • Engage with external networks and vendors, maintaining strong relationships to stay informed on market trends and best practices

Education and experience

  • Bachelor or above degree in business/economics, HR management or other related fields and most likely at least eight years of relevant working experience

  • Gained experience within a global organization and/or at a leading HR consulting firm is preferred

Skills

  • Have up-to-date and sound knowledge in the field of Rewards and possess both operational and strategic skills

  • Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of local labor laws and statutory benefits compliance

  • Good negotiation and communication skills

  • Fluent communication skill both in English and in Japanese
