Introduction

You will join ASML’s Customer Support organization in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. The Engineering Programs & Processes team helps service engineers work more consistently and effectively worldwide. This internship supports clearer structures, stronger governance, and better communication. You will contribute to processes that keep highly advanced systems running reliably for customers. This internship offers hands-on experience in a complex, high-tech environment with real operational impact.

Your assignment

In this internship you support the team that designs and improves global engineering processes. You will work closely with experienced project leads and subject matter experts. Your focus is to turn complex workflows into clear, usable, and consistent ways of working. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Analyze existing engineering workflows, governance models, and communication practices.

  • Identify gaps, overlaps, and inefficiencies in processes and documentation.

  • Standardize work instructions, templates, and process descriptions with stakeholders.

  • Improve governance structures that support large engineering programs.

  • Create structured, easy-to-use documentation for service engineering teams.

  • Support communication and adoption of improved processes across the organization.

This is a bachelor or master non-thesis internship for minimum 5 months, minimum 4 days per week (2 days on-site). The start date of this internship is as of September 2026.

Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

  • Are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program.

  • Study industrial engineering or operations management, or a closely related field.

  • Are analytical and enjoy improving structure and clarity.

  • Communicate clearly in written and spoken English.

  • Work proactively and collaborate comfortably with diverse technical teams.

  • Are skilled in Microsoft Office.

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;

  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter needs to include the willingness to relocate.

  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
