A closer look at our offering

Paid leave

You get 40 days of paid leave annually, which includes 27 vacation days and 13 additional days in line with ADV practices. 


Based on full-time employment you also get:

• 1 extra day after 12.5 years of employment or longer

• 1 day for sustainable employability


You also have flexibility in selling ADV and non-statutory holidays or purchasing additional holiday hours. Employees have the option of converting non-statutory holiday hours into cash and the option of purchasing up to a maximum of 80 holiday hours per year.


Flexible working hours

If the nature of your job allows working from home, you can work remotely up to 2 days a week. Moreover, if you meet the conditions described in the policy, you can work from a location outside the Netherlands for a maximum of 20 working days per calendar year. You can also compensate plus (overtime) and minus hours within a period of three months

Commuting allowance

If your home residence is 10 km or more away from your working location, you’ll receive an allowance to compensate the commuting costs for a maximum up to 20 km one way; or you can select for an NS Business Card which allows you to travel via public transportation.

Mobility allowance

Employees in leadership positions receive a fixed gross monthly allowance. If you’re eligible for a commuting allowance and travel to the office, the commuting costs will be paid out net and deducted from the gross allowance.

Bicycle reward

Employees working at the ASML campus that have to travel a distance between 0 and 20 km, receive a reward based on the km per day the employee travels to ASML and does not travel by car or public transport paid for by ASML. This includes all other methods of travel. Whether you walk, bike, or use a scooter to get to the office, you benefit from this reward.

Bicycle plan

Excluding employees with a company car, ASML offers the possibility to exchange your gross salary (or sell adv/holidays) to purchase a bicycle; up to a certain maximum amount. This means you can purchase a bicycle with a substantial tax advantage. and you can opt for either a regular bicycle or an electric one.

Share purchase plan

As an ASMLer you can purchase company shares with a gross premium. You can buy ASML shares via your net salary or via selling holidays/adv days. If you keep the shares for a minimum of one year, you will receive a one-time gross premium of 20%.

Fitness

You can opt for a gym membership with our preferred supplier where costs are handled in a tax-friendly way by ASML.

Well-being
You’ll also get access to a variety of well-being offerings, including trainning, lectures, masterclasses, healthy food options, on-campus healthcare and an Employee Assistance program that’s also available to your family members.

Pension and insurance translate to a level of security for the future. They provide a ‘safety net’ for life’s uncertainties. This is why it’s important to us that we’ll be there for you during difficult times and that we care about our team members.

Pension

Our pension package includes:

  • State pension – called AOW
  • Branch pension (obligatory) – Pension Fund for the Metal and Electrical industry
  • Supplementary scheme (obligatory) – Defined contribution plan with insurance company
  • Net pension plan (voluntarily) – net saving plan with insurance company


Overall, these plans create a competitive pension scheme for our employees, but also a pension for their families in case of death.

Insurances

Healthcare plan

When you join ASML, you become part of a collective health insurance policy. This means that all our employees have access to this insurance, and it includes their partner and/or offspring. ASML will pay 50% of the premium for the additional package for employees but also for the partner and the children.


Illness

In case of long-term illness, you’ll receive your full salary for a maximum of 2 years – under the condition that you cooperate with the reintegration efforts and work on your recovery.


Long-term disability

Social security and additional voluntary insurance to protect your income if your illness exceeds two years, depending on the percentage of disability and the situation – for example whether it’s occupational or permanent. 

International mobility


One of our greatest assets is that we’re a global company, with a truly diverse group of people from all over the world. To make this happen, we offer a comprehensive relocation package so that the process of moving to the Netherlands is as seamless as possible for new hires.


If you have to relocate to join us, then you’re not in this alone. We’ll be there to support you every step of the way. For example, if you’re moving to the Netherlands, we’d like to reassure you that our relocation package will cover the expense. You’ll be supported with all the documentation needed, and you’ll get temporary housing and free Dutch language lessons! All this depends on your situation of course, so differences apply per employee case.
